Job Description Job Title: Warehouse AssociateReports To: Warehouse Supervisor or Distribution ManagerPosition SummaryThe Warehouse Associate is responsible for day to day warehouse operations including loading, unloading, staging, picking, and packing inventory. This role requires safe operation of warehouse equipment such as cherry pickers and forklifts and the flexibility to be cross trained across multiple warehouse and delivery functions as business needs require.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLoad, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack, and stage products using cherry pickers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipmentProcess inbound shipments and warehouse deliveries, including verification of bills of lading and chain of custody documentationAccurately select and pick orders using pick tickets and labelsParticipate in physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and related data entryOperate warehouse equipment in accordance with safety standards and company proceduresUse basic math, reading, writing, and computer skills to complete daily tasksMaintain general warehouse housekeeping including floor cleaning, waste removal, cardboard processing, and equipment organizationFollow work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete assigned tasksPush, pull, reach, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds as requiredStand, walk, and perform physical work for extended periodsQualificationsOne to two years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferredAbility to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manualsAdditional Responsibilities and FlexibilityCross training is encouraged, including potential training as a delivery driver for employees with a valid driver's licenseWarehouse associates who maintain a valid driver's license, good standing motor vehicle record, and Medical DOT card may have opportunities to perform both warehouse and delivery dutiesDelivery Driver Responsibilities for Qualified EmployeesOperate company vehicles safely and responsibly with in cab camera monitoringLoad and unload vehicles according to safety standardsVerify manifests and delivery paperworkDeliver products to customer locations, confirm orders, unload materials, obtain signatures, and collect payments when requiredDocument returned parts and issue receiptsAccurately collect and process accounts receivable as neededProvide professional and courteous customer service during all interactionsPhysical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, lifting, and sittingAbility to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionallyVision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focusReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functionsWork EnvironmentWarehouse environment with moderate noise levelsWhen performing delivery duties, exposure to varying weather conditions including rain, snow, and temperature changesEmployees are expected to maintain clean and safe work areas free of debris, clutter, and hazardsBenefitsThe company offers a competitive benefits package including paid time off, paid holidays, health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k with company match, employer paid life insurance up to $50,000, and optional supplemental insurance plans.
