Job Description SummaryAttend to children at Agape Center for Care. Perform a variety of tasks, such as dressing, feeding, bathing, and overseeing play.DutiesSupport children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.Sanitize toys and play equipment.Observe and monitor children's play activities.Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered.Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.Read to children and teach them simple painting, drawing, crafts, and songs.Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas.Dress children and change diapers.Help children with homework.Perform housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, dish washing, and changing of linens.Maintain a safe play environment.Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.Assist in preparing food and serving meals and refreshments to children.Perform general administrative tasks.RequirementsArrange childcare or educational settings to ensure physical safety of children.Discuss child development and behavior with parents or guardians.Prepare foods or meals.Perform administrative or clerical tasks.Clean tools or equipment.Teach daily living skills or behaviors.Discuss child development and behavior with parents or guardians.Teach health or hygiene practices.Nice To Haves6 months programmatic experience.BenefitsPersonal Time Off:One year of service earns eight (8 hour) paid days offTwo to five years of service earns thirteen (8 hour) paid days offFive+ years of service earns eighteen (8 hour) paid days offWorker's compensation insuranceUnemployment insuranceAfter 60 days of employment, Agape Center for Care will pay half of the premium of an approved market health insurance plan for the staff member only.
