Construction Project Manager- Wireless ImplementationPURPOSEThis position is responsible for providing direction, execution, control and successful completion of construction management functions associated with several large, complex projects. Small cell projects are temporary endeavors with a defined beginning and end and are usually constrained by time and resources. The candidate will have a proven ability to partner with project stakeholders, customers, external vendors, and cross-functional teams to successfully meet project schedules. They will use industry recognized and generally accepted project management knowledge, skills, tools and communications to achieve a project's stated objectives.MAJOR TASKS• Develops detailed project schedules and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet construction schedule; update project schedules in SiteTracker• Anticipates and identifies risks, as well as potential solutions for any construction obstacles• Review and approve construction drawings• Conduct construction bid walks and evaluate bids• Create Bills of Material with Scoping team• Assist in bid creation and scheduling with Scoping team• Assist with material procurement, ordering, PO creation• Manage General Contractors and construction of small cell and marco sites• Oversee power installation and coordinate construction activities with local power company, including conducting any site visits as required• Coordinate fiber delivery with Outside Plant construction team to meet construction schedule• Assure client and Customer standards are met for site acceptance; Work with General Contractor to ensure Customer and closeout documentation is accurate and complete• Assure jurisdiction standards are met and site permits are closed out; inspect construction work or coordinate inspection assignments• Receive/approve contractor invoices based on production and internal evaluation• Develop methods and procedures for shortening timeline to deliver completed sites• Identifies risks and benefits of alternate designs; calculates costs/benefits of potential actions or solutions to establish their viability/ROI; assesses project impact of system changes on users and internal and external customers and stakeholdersQUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED• 2 years of experience in related field (i.e., project management, Construction, ROW Engineering, Technical Operations) or academic equivalent training or projects• Requires working knowledge of wireless telecommunications construction or related processes, development of methods and procedures• Requires working knowledge of commercial power installation processes• Strong to expert skills in MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required, with the ability to become proficient in other software tools as needed.• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills• Must be located in Phoenix, ArizonaPREFERRED• Knowledge of OPTIX, SiteTracker, UET Remedy and/or other project databases• Exceptional interpersonal/people skills including verbal and written communication skills, integrity, sound judgment and decision-making ability to all organizational levels. The ability to modify the messaging appropriately to various technical, managerial, and leadership audiences is critical for this position.• Must maintain strict confidentiality of extremely sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.• Flexible and creative problem solver with the ability to think analytically and follow through with complex problems• Team player with a high-energy level and diligent work ethic• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment• Ability to organize and prioritize activities
