The MRI Tech is knowledgeable in detecting adverse symptomology relating to procedure.Essential Functions Include But Are Not Limited To:Participates in departmental/organization Performance Improvement activities as requestedInsures timely and accurate communication of patient information with health care team members as may be required for prompt and efficient patient careCompletes all necessary written documentationCompletes all necessary computer documentation in a timely mannerReviews each exam for technical accuracyCorrectly identifies filmsObtains high quality films (good patient positioning and proper image technique). Demonstrates technical expertise to operate Imaging equipmentComplies with DOH standards. Complies with radiation safety guidelinesHas a working knowledge of the imaging equipment utilized and operates equipment safelyReduces hazards/risks, prevents accidents/injuries and maintains safe conditions in workplaceReports equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnelAssures safe and clean environmentAttendance: works as scheduled and is compliant with Attendance and Tardiness PolicyOther duties as assignedProductivity/Fiscal Responsibility:Reports to work on time and is ready to start workUtilizes appropriate resources to complete assignments within allocated time periodPerforms accurately and in a timely manner in periods of increased work-loads and high stressFollows through with assignments and informs supervisor if unable to complete tasksAdapts to changes in volume/acuity demandsWhen work is complete, seeks additional tasksSupports responsible staffing decisionsMaintains and organizes supplies appropriatelyDemonstrates efforts to eliminate wasteDemonstrates ability to set prioritiesDemonstrates problem solving ability using appropriate resourcesUnderstanding that there are multiple MRI locations. Schedule may reflect being floated to cover any location when neededQualificationsEducation & Qualifications:Associate Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training requiredMust be registry eligible and pass the registry and become ARRT Registered within 1 year from date of hireNH State license for MRI is required upon hireBCLS requiredCompetency for the following patient populations:Pediatric- 5 years to 18 yearsAdult - 19 years to 65 yearsElderly - 66 years and over
