Experienced Pizza Maker

A newly opened restaurant in North Tonawanda is seeking an experience Pizza Maker. The Pizza Maker is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. This role requires strong knowledge of pizza production, dough handling, topping preparation, oven execution, and consistency in quality and presentation. Experience with Detroit-style pizza is preferred but not required.Responsibilities:Prepare and cook pizzas according to standardized recipes, specifications, and quality standards.Stretch, press, or shape dough and prepare pizza bases efficiently and consistently.Assemble pizzas with proper portioning, topping distribution, and presentation.Operate pizza ovens safely and effectively to ensure accurate cook times and product quality.Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked pizza station throughout each shift.Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe kitchen environment.Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours.Monitor food quality and ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered on time.Assist with prep work, ingredient rotation, and inventory awareness to minimize waste.Complete closing duties including cleaning equipment, station breakdown, and restocking as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:2-4+ years of experience working in a high-volume pizza environment required.Detroit-style pizza experience is preferred but not required.Strong knowledge of pizza-making techniques, dough handling, sauces, toppings, and oven cooking.Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting.Strong attention to detail, food consistency, and presentation.Reliable and able to work well as part of a team.Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.Must be at least 18 years old.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for long periods of time.Continuously bend, reach, twist and use your hands and arms.Able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
