Responsibilities: Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of the rules Monitor/Operate/Dispatch responses to various Security Systems Provide escort services for occupants of client property, as requested Answer telephone calls and take messages, answer questions, and provide information during business and non-business hours Respond to emergencies and investigate disturbances Monitor for irregular or unusual activity Secure facility and designated areas Enforce facility and company policies and procedures Investigate and prepare reports on incidents Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior Qualifications: Candidates must have open availability and work any shift as needed. Guards must be able to clear metal detectors when entering and exiting the facility. Must have a current guard license. Ability to stand or walk for long periods Flexible to work non-scheduled hours when needed Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods May be exposed to high levels of noise or variations in weather and temperature High school diploma or GED equivalent Must have customer service experience 18 years old or older The site has strict security screening requirements. Officers must be able to clear metal detectors when entering and exiting the facility. Cell phones and metal items are not permitted on officers while on duty and must be stored in their assigned lockers until break periods outside of the secured area.
