Anesthesiology Physician
DescriptionWe are seeking a Board Certified Anesthesiologist for a full-time, temporary assignment (3 6 months) at a high-volume medical center in South Florida. This role is ideal for experienced providers who are comfortable in a collaborative care model, supervising residents and advanced practice providers while also performing cases independently. Candidates must be available to work consistently every week and meet strict compliance and credentialing standards.About the FacilityThe facility is a 289-bed medical center serving northern Broward County and is recognized for its advanced technology and expanding healthcare services. The anesthesia department supports a high-volume surgical program with approximately cases per month and a collaborative team-based environment.The facility includes:9 operating rooms + 2 OB ORsAdditional procedural areas: GI, TEE, EP, IRCare team model with supervision responsibilitiesCompensationPay Rate: Details can be discussed further after applying to the job posting.Travel expenses are reimbursed including:MileageRental carHotel accommodationsAirfareJob ResponsibilitiesProvide anesthesia care across a variety of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, OB/GYN, neuro, spine, and thoracic casesPerform required procedures including OB anesthesia and regional blocks (TAP, supraclavicular, adductor canal, popliteal)Supervise residents and advanced practice providers (approximately 60% of time)Personally perform cases in GI, TEE, EP, and IR (approximately 40% of time)Participate in call rotation including weeknight beeper and weekend in-house coverageEnsure accurate and timely documentation in the Medaxion EMR systemCollaborate with surgical and clinical teams to ensure high-quality patient careQualificationsBoard Certified Anesthesiologist (required)Active Florida medical license (required)Active Florida DEA (required prior to credentialing submission)Must have a 100% clean background (no malpractice, legal issues, or pending cases)Must not have worked at this facility or any affiliated site within the past 24 monthsMust have no more than 10 affiliationsMust be able to provide 24 months of case logs within 5 days of credentialing approvalMust provide copy of out-of-state driver s license at time of ApplicationOut-of-state candidates onlyWorking HoursFull-time coverage required (minimum 20 shifts per month)Monday Friday day shifts starting at 7:00 AMAverage hours per week depending on case flow ( peel-out system)Call Requirements:Weeknight beeper call (1:8 rotation)Weekend call (1:8 rotation):In-house: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM 6:00 PMAdditional weekend beeper call (Friday evening through Monday morning)Must be available to work every week of the monthSkillsStrong clinical expertise in high-volume, multi-specialty anesthesia careProficiency in OB anesthesia and regional blocksAbility to supervise and lead within a care team modelAdaptability in a fast-paced surgical environmentExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and complianceAdditional NotesActive Florida license is highly preferred; candidates needing a compact license must show proof of application upon approvalCredentialing timeline averages 90 daysClinical interview with Chief CRNA/Site Medical Director is required prior to placement
