HSE Specialist / HSE Supervisor (Contract)Location: Childress, TX (100% Onsite)Type: Long-Term Contract | Immediate StartProject: Large-Scale Industrial / Critical Infrastructure ConstructionWe’re supporting a fast-growing EPC firm delivering large, complex infrastructure projects across Texas. They are actively bringing on an experienced HSE Specialist / HSE Supervisor to support onsite construction activities for a long-term, high-visibility project in Childress.Onsite Health & Safety LeadershipServe as onsite safety advisor for construction leadership and craft personnelActively engage crews, supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a strong safety cultureSafety Observation & OversightConduct daily and weekly safety walks, audits, and inspections across active work areasIdentify at-risk behaviors and conditions, driving immediate corrective actionsSafety Program ExecutionImplement and enforce site-specific safety plans and client safety requirementsLead toolbox talks, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and safety briefingsVerify compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local construction safety regulationsTraining & DocumentationCoordinate and deliver safety training for site personnel and subcontractorsMaintain required safety documentation, reports, and compliance recordsIncident ManagementLead incident reporting, investigations, and case managementSupport root-cause analysis and corrective action developmentAssist with emergency response coordination when requiredCollaborationWork closely with project management, superintendents, and client reps on all safety mattersSupport inspections, audits, and safety readiness reviewsWhat They’re Looking For3+ years of hands-on construction safety experience on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or heavy civil projectsStrong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and regulationsProven experience implementing safety programs, identifying hazards, and mitigating risk in live construction environmentsComfortable operating in fast-paced, high-accountability job sitesExcellent communication skills with experience leading safety meetings and trainingPreferred Certifications (one or more):CSHO (Certified Safety & Health Official)CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician)Or equivalent industry-recognized safety credentialsComp & StructureCompetitive hourly rate + per diem + OTLong-term contract with 18–24 months of potential project durationStrong opportunity to roll onto future Texas projects as additional sites launch
