Job DetailsDescriptionThis is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Odessa, TX. Job Summary: Responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of assemblers, mechanics, shipping & receiving, and testing in the shop to ensure conformance to Company standards and meet production specifications and requirements.Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.Manage local safety program within established guidelines, complete and submit monthly safety reporting and conduct safety meetings.Ensure all equipment is in working order and serviced as required and maintain good housekeeping in the branch facility.Diagnose problems and recommend or implement appropriate solutions.Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications.Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.Interprets Company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, and work crew.Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.Maintains time of shop employees.Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.Performs activities of workers supervised.Education, Training, Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: None required.Job Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesWorking knowledge of API Standards and specific Sections experience.Intermediate Computer SkillsAdvanced Language Skills, Intermediate Mathematical Skills and Intermediate Reasoning AbilitySupervisory Responsibilities: Directly manage a team of shop personnel.
