Robotics Engineer (Remote, US)Rex.zone is hiring a Remote Robotics Engineer aligned with the San José robotics market. You will support end-to-end robotics engineering across perception, planning, and control with a strong focus on simulation testing, QA evaluation, log analysis, and safety validation to improve real-world system reliability.What You Will DoBuild and maintain robotics software components in C++ and PythonIntegrate sensors (camera, IMU, LiDAR) and perform sensor fusionDevelop and tune motion planning, control loops, and autonomy behaviorsRun simulation experiments and hardware-in-the-loop style tests where applicableDefine acceptance criteria, create repeatable test harnesses, and track metricsAnalyze logs, trajectories, and edge cases to reduce failure rates and improve coverageContribute to dataset review and training-data quality for learning-based componentsWrite documentation, test plans, and runbooks for production-grade deploymentRequired QualificationsMid-senior experience delivering robotics systemsStrong C++ and Python skillsExperience with ROS2 (nodes, topics, transforms, lifecycle) or equivalent middlewareKnowledge of kinematics/dynamics, control systems, motion planning, and SLAM/localization conceptsAbility to design tests, debug from logs, and communicate engineering tradeoffsPreferredComputer vision for robotics (calibration, tracking, detection)Simulation tooling, CI for robotics builds, telemetry/profilingSafety validation, fault injection, reliability engineeringEvaluation protocols and labeling/guidelines compliance for data workflowsCompensationHourly pay range: $30–$50/hr (USD), based on scope, impact, and alignment to role requirements.How To ApplyApply via Rex.zone and include a resume plus a concise summary of robotics projects (navigation, manipulation, perception, controls).
