Senior Python/Automation Engineer Fortune 50 Healthcare Brooksource (6 mo contract)RemoteOverviewSeeking Python Engineers with experience in AI-driven automation and agent-based systems to support a Fortune 50 Healthcare organization’s internal self-service cloud onboarding platform across Azure and GCP. This initiative is focused on enabling engineering and application teams to onboard and consume cloud services through automated workflows, while introducing AI-driven capabilities to further enhance automation, decision-making, and workflow efficiency.These individuals will help design and build intelligent automation and agent-based solutions that integrate directly into existing onboarding workflows and platform services.ResponsibilitiesDevelop Python-based applications and services supporting automation workflows.Build and enhance AI-driven or agent-based capabilities within internal engineering platforms.Design and implement workflow orchestration logic for multi-step, stateful automation processes (agent-based workflows).Integrate AI functionality into existing platform services and automation pipelines.Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation.Develop production-ready code with appropriate testing and validation.Participate in code reviews and adhere to engineering standards.Support deployment and CI/CD release processes.Troubleshoot and improve AI-enabled automation workflows.RequirementsStrong Python development experience in production environments.Experience building AI agent-based systems or intelligent workflow automation solutions.Experience with agent orchestration or workflow frameworks such as LangGraph/LangChain (or similar graph-based / multi-step LLM orchestration tools).Understanding of how to build production applications that integrate AI capabilities into broader platforms.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps release processes (GitHub and/or Azure DevOps).Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams.Ability to translate business workflows into structured automated or AI-assisted processes.PreferredExposure to GCP-based AI development tools or services.Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise platforms or internal engineering tooling.Experience designing structured agent workflows (DAGs, stateful orchestration, or decision-tree-based AI flows).
