ACADEMIC SPECIALIST IN GENERAL OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY OPPORTUNITY WITH CARILION CLINIC, ROANOKE,

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Carilion Clinic and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, headquartered in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a full-time Academic Specialist in General Obstetrics and Gynecology to meet its growing needs at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 763-bed academic/tertiary care hospital with Virginia State-designated Level 1 Trauma Center and Level III Nursery serving nearly one million people throughout southwestern Virginia. The faculty member will have a full spectrum general obstetric and gynecologic practice in a community-based academic environment and join a group of 19 other OB/GYN physicians and 9 Advanced Clinical Practitioners. The candidate must have excellent clinical skills and enthusiasm for medical education of residents and students. Candidates must be an MD or DO and be board-certified or be an active candidate for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in Virginia. A faculty appointment, commensurable with experience, is available at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
