We are looking to hire a Thread/Form Roll Operator for 2nd shift in Gardena, CA. This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a top-tier aerospace manufacturing facility. Schedule & Pay: Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday Friday | 3:30 PM 11:00 PM Pay Rate: $20.00 $25.00/hour (based on experience) Overtime: Available as needed Position Summary: This role operates under minimal supervision and involves basic setups and operation of thread/form roll machines across a variety of platforms including Warren, Waterbury, EWM, Roy, and Hartford systems. A strong understanding of part identification, inspection, and machine adjustment is essential. Primary Responsibilities: Operate and set up thread/form roll machines according to shop traveler specifications Identify correct parts and verify all prior operations have been completed Select and adjust tooling, grinding wheels, and other machine settings Use instruments (micrometers, gauges, dial indicators) to ensure tolerances are met Read and interpret blueprints and written instructions accurately Inspect workpieces for conformity to specifications Perform basic troubleshooting and report any equipment or process issues Support production goals in alignment with safety and quality standards Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills & Experience: 1 2 years of machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment Basic blueprint reading and shop math (fractions, decimals) Familiarity with inspection tools and general machine tool operation Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Some exposure to comparator and induction heaters is preferred
