SummaryJob Summary Python Developer (Jersey City, Hybrid) Lead the automation and orchestration of complex data workflows for financial systems. Develop, deploy, and maintain Python-based scripts for job orchestration on on-prem Oracle 19c systems. Design, implement, and maintain Apache Airflow DAGs to manage interdependent ETL processes. Migrate legacy job scheduling logic (Perl, PL/SQL, RunMyJobs) into modular Airflow workflows. Build custom Airflow operators and sensors for integration with Oracle, REST APIs, and SFTP/FTP. Implement robust error handling, alerting, and retry mechanisms in data pipelines. Collaborate with DBAs and application teams to document job dependencies, critical paths, and data lineage. Establish logging, audit trails, and SLA monitoring dashboards for job execution. Participate in code reviews, documentation, and onboarding new jobs into the orchestrator. Ensure traceability, data quality, and recoverability of all automated workflows. Utilize strong experience with DBT, Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
