Sales Manager
Position Summary: Reports To: Director of Sales OperationsAs the Stainless Cable & Railing Sales Manager, the primary job function is to coach, train, motivate, and develop a team of inside sales representatives and account managers, with the goal of meeting and exceeding monthly/quarterly sales targets. Our inside sales team consists of inside sales reps (phone) and one web sales rep. As the sales manager, you will be responsible for the team’s performance, which will require different goals, tactics, and expected outcomes. This role requires a combination of analytical and sales skills, a commitment to delivering a seamless customer experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally with other divisions within OPDE ct to maximize outcomes and drive company success. Partnering with key stakeholders in Sales, Learning & Development (L&D), Marketing, and Product, to make sure the sales team is apprised of upcoming changes, as well as advocating for the sales perspective to these groups. You will be responsible for the performance management of the sales team. This includes partnering with Sales Enablement (L&D) to continually refine the coaching and sales playbook.ResponsibilitiesOversee the on-site, hybrid, and/or remote inside sales teamManage the administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, time clock management, and PTO approvals for the sales teamMeet and exceed weekly/monthly/quarterly sales goalsPerformance manage team with documented 1-on-1 coaching, feedback, and call listeningCelebrate and highlight team and individual sales successes with the rest of the organizationPrepare and report on team performance to the Senior Leadership team as requiredPartner with Sales Enablement to drive continuous process changes, technology refinements, and pipeline optimizations Partner with leadership on an outbound targeted vertical campaign strategyCollaborate with marketing and the Director of Sales Operations to support the rollout of the annual promotional calendar Have a complete understanding of KPIs relevant to revenue, margin, and other sales goalsDevelop annual sales incentives/contests to drive year-over-year performance Manage the Quality Assurance program, rotating sales process focus areasContinuously provide and facilitate the sharing of timely and productive feedback between team membersHelp solve for upstream defects that present themselves in sales and customer support trendsAll other duties as assignedQualifications5+ years of experience successfully leading an inside sales team to exceed quota; 10 or more years of total sales experience preferredPrevious experience managing a phone-based sales team in an e-commerce environment Passionate about coaching, always working to use key metrics to drive the right behaviors Track record of developing new sales talent into top performersAbility to manage seasoned sales talent to maximize their performancePromotes a positive and energetic sales atmosphere with the teamAbility to deliver resultsTrack record of strong collaboration with other departments or business functions, with focus on achieving shared goalsStrong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders at all levelsEffective time management skillsStrong computer skills, including CRM, Microsoft Office, and Google software suites Experience with Oracle NetSuite (ERP)Willingness to work 40+ hours per week, dependent upon sales drive times, seasonality, or team needsWorking Environment: On-site at our Washougal, WAOffice park settingCasual Dress CodePosition Details & Benefits:Full-time, Salaried: $85,000-95,000Eligible for annual performance bonus and merit increasesPTO – 15 days accrued per year, ramps with tenureInsurance - Health, Life, Disability, Vision, Dental, and EAPRetirement - 3% company matching 401k program Paid Holidays Our Culture:We believe in culture.
