By connecting with Pivot Group, you position yourself for roles that match your background and aspirations.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations, including OSHA and EPA.Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures specific to manufacturing operations.Investigate all EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation.Manage hazardous waste disposal and ensure proper handling of chemicals and materials.Perform risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHAs) to mitigate potential risks in manufacturing processes.Recommended QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related scientific field.2-5 years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting.Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and relevant state/local EHS regulations and standards.Experience in developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs (e.g., LOTO, confined space, hazard communication).Proficiency in conducting EHS risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.Strong communication and training delivery skills to engage employees at all levels.Bonus QualificationsCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certificationProficiency with EHS management software (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Sphera)Bilingual fluency, particularly in SpanishLean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or experience applying Lean principles to EHS processesExperience conducting internal or external EHS management system audits (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001)Job Titles That Should ApplyEHS Specialist, Safety Specialist, Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator, Occupational Health & Safety Specialist, Health and Safety Officer, Environmental Compliance Specialist, HSE Specialist, Workplace Safety Specialist, EHS Advisor, Safety Coordinator, Environmental Health and Safety Consultant, OH&S SpecialistWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
