Headquartered in Huntsville, AL, PROJECTXYZ supports customers across many locations and functional areas including Logistics, Engineering, Information Technology, and Alternative Energy.Purpose Of PositionServes as Operations and Plans Specialist responsible for assisting with the integration and synchronization of USASAC’s core competencies for current and future operations in support of Army Security Assistance Enterprise requirements. Coordinates the development, planning, integration, and execution of comprehensive operational plans and programs that support and facilitate the achievement of USASAC’s mission, goals, and objectives. Assists with preparing and executing command operational requirements. Advises the Chief, Business Operations; Director Operations and Logistics (G3 /4); Chief of Staff, and Commanding General on the operational implications of significant events.Duties and Responsibilities (Essential): Manage and integrate operational initiatives with representatives of other USASAC staff elements, Major Subordinate Commands, ASA(ALT), the Security Assistance Enterprise, and defense organizations. Monitor command operations execution while identifying potential problem areas and shortfalls. Develop, coordinate, and execute USASAC plans to meet the requirements of our partner nations as shaped by GCC and DASA DE&C priorities. Review the plans of higher and lateral headquarters for impact on USASAC, including new concepts, formats, doctrines, and policy, which can be used in USASAC plan development. Interface with all levels of the command structure and communicate effectively in interpersonal, oral, and written methods to coordinate across the command at the executive level. Coordinate and assist with facilitating the flow of information between HQDA, AMC, and USASAC subordinate units. Monitor all actions to completion, assisting as requested. Provide continuous analysis of current military operations by reviewing Joint, COCOM, DA, ASCC, and Security Assistance Enterprise documents, Situational Reports (SITREPs), and briefings. Prepare and disseminate Operations Orders and fragmentary orders (FRAGOs) for the Command. Assist with preparing briefs for senior leaders, as well as toplevel managers on USASAC’s expanding mission set and management of the Army’s security assistance portfolio. Maintain constant contact with all levels of the Security Assistance Enterprise to ensure uniform execution of operational requirements. Manage the planning, direction, and execution of recurring and special operational reports. Prepare and disseminate the USASAC Situation Report (SITREP) to the USASAC staff and subordinate commands. Analyze data and patterns to make meaningful recommendations that will enhance efficiency, inform decisionmaking, and help shape strategies for organizational improvement. Use organizational, leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills in support of planning, mission support, customer relationship building, and improving customer satisfaction. Update the USASAC Master Activity Calendar; capture and edit events to accurately reflect engagements to USASAC leadership. Advise the Director, Operations and Logistics on operational and logistics, readiness and sustainment implications of world events. Coordinate calendar events; schedule VTC/SVTC requirements, conferences, and meetings; prepare official correspondence and other required documentation. Apply analysis and logical reasoning to deduce USASAC impacts. Qualifies and quantifies those impacts into USASAC actions on the Operations “horse blanket” to synchronize operations throughout the command. Assist with the management of facilities programs and support the Security Assistance Liaison Officer (SALO) Program Management Office requirements. Qualifications: An Active US Government Security Clearance 6 years of experience in military operations and military planning Bachelor’s Degree Related In lieu of a degree, six additional years of related experience is required. Must have working, demonstratable knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products such as Excel, Word, and Teams. Applicants must possess excellent oral and written skills. Functional Responsibility: Analysis and detailed planning and execution of logistics support including material goods, personnel, operational maintenance, and repair of systems throughout their life cycles. Conduct feasibility analysis, requirements determination, and policy standards/procedures development in support of logistics planning. Use organizational, leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills in support of demand planning, transportation support, building customer relationships, and improving customer satisfaction. Physical Factors Work environment is predominately office. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate a phone both making and receiving calls and taking or conveying information. Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
