Job DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Inbound Logistics AnalystPOSITION PURPOSEThe Inbound Logistics Analyst supports the supply chain and logistics function through reporting, analysis, operational coordination, and other duties as assigned that improve shipment visibility, forecasting, exception management, and overall cost and time efficiencies. This role is responsible for both maintaining existing reporting and developing new reports, dashboards, and analyses to support business needs and operational decision-making. This position requires flexibility, as priorities and responsibilities may shift based on departmental and business needs.Essential Functions Reporting, Analytics, and Business Insights — 50% Support the logistics department through the creation, maintenance, automation, and analysis of reporting used to interpret data and improve operational performance. Run existing reports while also identifying reporting gaps and developing new reports, dashboards, and tools that support tracking, visibility, forecasting, and exception reporting. Analyze data trends and communicate actionable insights that help drive cost savings, service improvements, and process efficiencies. Perform additional tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned in support of departmental objectives. Operational and Cross-Functional Support — 50% Support day-to-day inbound logistics operations by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to monitor shipment activity, resolve issues, and maintain visibility across the inbound supply chain. Apply knowledge of import methods, terminology, and logistics processes to assist management with daily operations, exception follow-up, and business priorities. Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Take on additional duties and special projects as assigned based on the needs and priorities of the department. The percentage of time listed for each essential function is an approximate figure and may vary depending on business conditions, departmental priorities, and operational needs. Experience creating, maintaining, and analyzing reports and dashboards; ability to identify reporting needs and improve reporting processes.
