High School History Teacher

Position: High School History Teacher Reports To: Richard Cameron Work Year Days: 2026-2027 School Year Work Hours: Full School Day Educational/Training/Experience/License Required:DESE Massachusetts educator license in History (Grades 9-12) required.Strong knowledge of U.S. History, World History, and related social studies content.Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate high school students.Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.Commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered learning environment.Experience with differentiated instruction and technology integration. Responsibilities:Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging history and social studies lessons aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.Develop and implement assessments to monitor student learning and provide timely feedback.Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students requiring academic support or enrichment.Integrate technology and multimedia resources to enhance instruction.Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues.Participate in department, school, and professional development activities.Uphold school policies, procedures, and standards for student conduct and safety.Contribute to the broader school community through extracurricular activities, events, and initiatives as appropriate. Required Qualifications: Minimum: Bachelor's Degree Strong classroom management and communication skills.Must successfully pass a CORI background check and fingerprinting as required by Massachusetts law. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Tahanto Regional Middle/High School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic History Teacher for grades 9-12 to inspire and engage students in the study of U.S. History, World History, and related social studies topics.
