Junior Software Tester

This role is an entry level position requiring the individual to be driven, well-organized, and curious. They must be self-motivated and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The team will look to this individual to have the aptitude to learn and participate in manual data and system integration testing, functional testing, and regression testing on all efforts.Primary Responsibilities: Participate in the analysis and review of epics, features, and user stories.Participate in all Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo/Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.Analyze and translate requirements to create and execute test cases. Create and maintain test cases and test data using industry and Huntington standards.Assist in identifying test scenarios based on the understanding of systems, interfaces, system audits.Maintain test cases and test data using standard testing tools.Participate in identifying all testing needs and the development well defined test plans.Write, review, and maintain test scripts.Participate in and facilitate defect management meetings.Perform all aspects of verification/testing (integration, functional, regression etc.).Manage defect tracking and provide informative updates as requested.Participate in production validation and support as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Related Field. Basic understanding of testing as part of a solution delivery lifecycle. Knowledge of at least one testing tool or framework (Selenium, Playwright, Postman, Junit, etc)Experience with SQL and writing basic SQL queries.Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand testing concepts, practices, and tools.Ability to manage tasks effectively, meet deadlines and stay organized with minimal supervision.
