Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: StepdownDiscipline: RNStart Date: 06/08/2026Duration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelUnit Specifics:• Number of Beds : 630 has 34 beds/ 633 has 25• Patient Ratios : 1:4 to 1:5 on days, 1:5 to 1:6 on nights• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 3 techs when full on 630 and 2 techs when full on 633• Type of equipment : bipaps, high flow o2, vapotherm, alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis. Wound vacs in conjunction with wound care• Documentation system: Meditech• Scheduling requirements: every other weekend requirement for contract, 3 12 hour shifts a week• Floating policy: may have to float in between PCU units or float to med-surg floors• Patient Experience requirements: hourly rounding on days, every 2 hour rounding on nights, AIDET and keeping up with communication boards on 7th floor. Dept 633 has tv communication boards.Hospital Specifics-• Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must have : Critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac drip, insulin drip and heparin drip experience. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred and peripheral iv skills.Advanced skills needed: ACLS. Experience with bipaps, high flow 02 and multiple oxygen delivery systems. Experience with stroke and post cardiac cath care. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred. Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes.Procedures performed on unit: Peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, dobhoff/NG tube insertions, central line dressing changes.
