Summer Office Assistant - Accounting

This type of appointment is not approved to work more than 999 hours per year for all positions combined. Should incumbents work more than a total of 999 hours in a year the appointment may not continue beyond one year of service.
Accountabilities
The summer accounting office assistant will work in the accounting office to post deferral journal entries, review accounts payable to assist with cut-off testing, provide support for the documentation process, participate on the team that completes the biannual federal equipment inventory review, and will help with other year-end tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Professional Experience/ Qualifications
Familiarity with general ledger and journal entries, experience with tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite, and good communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
High school diploma, ideally pursuing a college degree in accounting/finance/economics.
