Special Education Paraprofessional
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Instructional Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, particularly in early childhood education and special education settings. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for childhood development, and the ability to support students with diverse needs.ResponsibilitiesAssist in implementing educational programs under the supervision of a lead teacher or educatorSupport students in various activities, including classroom tasks and behavioral managementCollaborate with teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environmentProvide assistance with personal care needs, including toileting, diapering, hygiene, and feeding, in a respectful, safe, and developmentally appropriate mannerProvide one-on-one assistance to students with special needs, including those with autismHelp maintain a safe and organized classroom settingCommunicate effectively with students and teachers regarding student progressSkillsExperience in daycare, early childhood education, or related fieldsProficiency in classroom management and behavior management techniquesAbility to work effectively with children and support their educational growthKnowledge of childhood development principles and special education practicesStrong communication skills to interact with students and teachersExperience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plusUnderstanding of and commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and privacy in accordance with applicable policies and regulationsThis position offers valuable experience in the field of education and an opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives.
