Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country.DescriptionCaptivation Software is looking for a senior level systems engineer who is experienced with systems troubleshooting including hardware and software, Linux, Analysis capabilities, Communications, Java/ Scripting in ruby/python/bash, SOP development, familiarity with: Rancher, Ansible, Elastic Search, Redis, Solr, Data Flow, Docker and Kubernetes. This is a watch desk position (Watch Desk has 5 shifts that repeat every two weeks 3 days on and 4 days off and then 4 days on and 3 days off:)RequirementsSecurity Clearance:Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizenMinimum Qualifications:Twenty (20) years-experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is requiredDemonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredFive (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.Security Plus Certification (or willingness to attain within 6 months)Required Skills:Systems troubleshooting including hardware and software, Linux, Analysis capabilities, Communications, Java/ Scripting in ruby/python/bash, SOP development, familiarity with: Rancher, Ansible, Elastic Search, Redis, Solr, Data Flow, Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with RTRG Mission analytics operation and useMonitoring OS and ApplicationsTroubleshooting OS and Applications and escalating as requiredTroubleshooting dataflow and escalating as requiredTroubleshooting network issue and escalating as requiredAbility to read a variety of Graphs of systems information and interpret them to discern correct operationsGood communications skills written and verbalAbility to dissect complex issues and generate concise accurate statusGenerating metrics and reports for submission to customers using disparate data sourcesGenerating SOPs for use by the members of the Watch desk and/or customersAbility to lead small team of WD shift personnelAbility to direct and provide meaningful guidance to teammatesMaintain schedules as requiredDesired Skills:AWS Knowledge/ExperienceThis position is open for direct hires only.
