What You'll Be Doing This position is part of the Maintenance/Reliability Team and reports to the Maintenance Manager. You will be part of a team that is embedded in the daily operations to include a Maintenance Coordinator, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, Crafts Specialist, and Process Engineers. As a Maintenance Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the Mechanical Integrity and Reliability Programs. Responsibilities Develop and manage equipment maintenance plans for area equipment, including updating PM, PdM, and CBM routines and equipment lists in SAP. Conduct Critical Equipment Analysis and Criticality Assessments. Manage Critical Equipment lists. Track and analyze reliability data on Critical Equipment. Develop maintenance strategies for equipment. Identify and define reliability improvements for daily maintenance and projects. Troubleshoot long‑term equipment issues. Identify critical spares and recommend spare parts inventory levels. Track, manage, and analyze area asset reliability data. Manage area equipment files and documentation. Conduct RCIs and incident investigations for equipment failures. Conduct daily job site inspections and walkthroughs. Identify and scope potential reliability improvement projects. Facilitate area maintenance planning and execution meetings for outages. Provide input to weekly maintenance schedules. Assist with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs. Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs), PSSR, and Management of Change (MOCs). Provide oversight of store equipment repairs on and off site. Participate in safety programs and initiatives. Education & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university is required. Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred. Five or more years of relevant industrial experience in reliability engineering are required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proactive problem‑solving approach. Proficiency with MS Office suite. Knowledge of a maintenance scheduling tool. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with stakeholders throughout the plant to solve problems. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Preferred Qualifications Experience using SAP Preventative Maintenance module. Previous experience working in a PSM plant. Knowledge of engineering codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, etc. Knowledge of machinery lubrication. Knowledge of equipment monitoring such as vibration analysis, ultrasound, oil analysis, and infrared thermography. Understanding of industry design, repair standards, and maintenance practices. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Ability to walk reasonable distances, potentially on uneven ground or catwalks, and ascend stairs. Ability to climb ladders and navigate through industrial settings and around equipment/installations. Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, and crawl. Ability to maneuver in confined spaces. Ability to reach with both arms.
