Contracts Administrator

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our growing team.The ideal candidate would have prior experience in contract administration, including tracking and organizing contracts, coordinating contract review and communications, and experience editing/redlining contracts according to guidelines set by IXL management. Current or prior paralegal background is preferred.This position requires you to be in our Raleigh, NC, area office.What You’ll Be DoingAdministration and review of legal documents for our K12 customers and Enterprise customers, including customer sales contracts, supplier registration forms, and data privacy agreements under the supervision of IXL’s Contracts Administration ManagerCoordinate customer contract review with multiple teams throughout the company, including Legal Counsel, Sales Management, Product, Finance, Customer Support, and Engineering; Edit and revise documents according to guidelines set by IXL managementPrepare and disseminate legal document status to appropriate sales team membersMaintain version control of all agreements to ensure the most current is returned to the sales team and customersMaintain contracts database and record relevant information for each contract signedWork to obtain proper signatures (customer and CEO) on all agreements Perform customization of company standardized agreements at the direction of Sales leadership and Legal CounselOther tasks as assigned, including assisting with tracking and responding to legal notices and litigation related tasksWhat We’re Looking ForBA/BS degreeCertificate of completion from an approved paralegal program is a plus3-5 years of office, administrative, or legal experienceCompetence in legal/commercial terms relevant to SaaS contracts, such as data privacy, security, and SOW’sPrior experience in contract administrationPrior experience at an education related company or experience with education related laws such as FERPA and COPPA is preferredAbility to multi-task and attention to detail is a mustAbility to properly handle documents that are highly sensitive and confidentialGeneral knowledge of legal terminology and proceduresAbility to establish and maintain effective working relations with othersExceptional ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, in EnglishAbility to work independently and be self-startingExpert knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, such as word processing systems, record management systems, file organization and maintenance, preparation of standard forms and other typical office procedures and terminologyExperience using Salesforce is a plusAbout IXL LearningIXL Learning is the country's largest EdTech company.
