Embedded Firmware Engineer (Houston)

Title: Embedded Firmware EngineerLocation : Houston, TX (Onsite weekly 5 days)Fulltime job / Direct HireRequirements:1. Experience in C / C++ development for embedded targets ranging from 8 to 32- bits including ARM / ARM Cortex, ADI DSP, TI OMAP, TI SM470, and ST Micro SOC devices2. Knowledge of various digital peripheral interfaces -ADC, DAC, external Memory, Ethernet controller, USB and developing against different tool chain3. Experience in serial communications including RS232, RS485, ModBus, I2C, SPI, and CAN bus implementations and protocol details4. Familiarity with interfacing CPLD & FPGA5. Experience in data acquisition, sensor interface & process control6. Technical presentation & reporting7. Good verbal and written communication skills8. Firmware development experience relevant to oil & gas industry is advantage but not mandatory.9. Experience developing PC programs/test systems with Labview, Visual studio or other software package will be advantage but not mandatory.10. Familiar with hardware board bring up, debugging with use of typical lab equipment: power supplies, digital millimetres, oscilloscopes, function generatorsQualifications:1.
