Position SummaryResponsible for performing a variety of administrative, storekeeping, distribution and warehouse functions in a multi-facility shipping environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and ship UPS/FedEx/Export etc. shipments as neededComplete Verification and Consolidation of Received parts from assembly for preparation for shippingPrepare, load, secure with packaging material, and consolidate shipments for Parker customersBecome knowledgeable of all aspects of shipping products through various carriersPrepare export and large quantity consolidation shipments for customersOperate a variety of lifting/transporting equipmentPull completed assembly jobs from each assembly work area for shipmentFollow shipping instructions that are order specificMay act as support to back up AssemblyContribute to HPT and participate in team-meetings.Wear proper PPE and follow all set safety guidelinesAll other duties as assigned by Supervisor or lead designeeEducation, Credentials And Previous ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentTechnical Depth And BreadthBasic knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft excel and other business applications (SAP).Ability to read, comprehend, and follow manufacturing and shipping methods and procedures.Basic knowledge of packaging techniques, shipping tools, and ability to use various weight scales.Problem Solving And Analytical SkillsPerform tasks with little supervisionAble to effectively work on and manage multiple tasks daily, communicate professionally with co-workers, show flexibility to learn multiple jobs within the department, and show aptitude to perform essential job functions listed above.Actively participate in improvement activities, Lean projectsAn assessment may be requiredTeamwork And Interpersonal SkillsDependable, prompt, and reliable with good overall attendanceDemonstrate ability to get along with others; behave professionally; treat all coworkers with respect and dignity consistent with Parker Values and Code of Conduct.Actively participate; gain cooperation and trust; and deal with conflicts effectively.Maintain well organized 5S work area.Communication/Contact With OthersAble to read, understand, and follow written & verbal instructions and directions in English.Keep others informed, provide accurate and timely feedback, communicate clearly, listen, and be receptive to feedback.Physical And Mental DemandWith or without reasonable accommodation:Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time (8 – 10 hours per day).Frequently required to work around and/or visit manufacturing operations exposed to noise, fumes, heavy machinery, and other shop-related hazards.Lifting and stacking up to 25 lbs.Pushing and pulling up to 600 lbs. with a pallet jack.Use of Personal Protective Equipment as required, may include safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and/or any other equipment deemed necessary.Additional CommentsThe essential functions have been provided as examples of the type of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
