Accounting Systems Analyst

This role is responsible for supporting financial systems, enhancing reporting and analytics capabilities, and driving integration between the company’s ERP platform and internal software solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting knowledge with technical aptitude to improve processes, data accuracy, and system efficiency.Key Responsibilities Systems & IntegrationAct as the primary bridge between the ERP system and internal platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and system alignmentPartner with internal development/innovation teams to design, test, and implement system integrations and automationSupport ongoing ERP configuration, optimization, and troubleshootingIdentify opportunities to reduce manual processes through system enhancements and automationFinancial Data & AnalyticsDevelop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and data models to support business decision-makingEnsure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systemsCollaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to define reporting requirements and deliver actionable insightsSupport real-time data initiatives and improve accessibility of financial metricsProcess ImprovementAnalyze current accounting workflows and recommend system-driven improvementsDrive standardization of processes across systems and departmentsAssist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes from a systems and reporting perspectiveDocument system processes, data flows, and best practicesCross-Functional CollaborationServe as a liaison between Accounting, IT, and other business unitsTranslate accounting and business requirements into technical specificationsProvide training and support to end users on system functionality and reporting toolsQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field3–7+ years of experience in accounting, financial systems, or business systems analysisExperience working with ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)Technical SkillsStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingExperience with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and data mapping conceptsExperience working with databases (SQL preferred)Core CompetenciesAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving skillsAbility to translate complex data into clear insightsStrong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiencesDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvementAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
