Yard Custodian The Yard Custodian maintains the premises of the building ensuring that they are clean and orderly, and performs minor and routine building maintenance tasks and maintains the grounds. Non exempt 1958 Diamond Hill Road, Chesapeake Virginia 23320 Monday – Friday and Saturdays as required 1st shift begins at 6:00 am and runs between 8-12 hours as business needs mandate. 2nd shift begins immediately after 1st shift and runs between 8-12 hours as required. Day or Evening Shift Production Supervisor JOB REQUIREMENTS A good understanding of how a production environment functions including keeping operations continuously running and meeting production goals. A good understanding of the safe operation, maintenance and troubleshooting required with industrial equipment OSHA and additional internal safety requirements including but not limited to lockout tag procedures. Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc) part of the work day; Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 30 pounds part of the work day; Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the work day; Minimum of six months relevant work experience. High school education or equivalent Removes trash, including picking up trash in parking lot and around exterior of building. Cleans restrooms as scheduled, including maintaining hand towels, tissues and soap. Sweeps, wet mops and spray buffs tile floors. Maintains stairwells, including cleaning and polishing handrails. Dusts and cleans air/return vents and changes filters. Replaces light bulbs. Maintains lawn and trims shrubbery. Performs room set up for conferences, lectures and special events. Attend weekly/monthly safety/operations meetings. Other duties as assigned.
