The provider will interpret a wide range of imaging studies while focusing heavily on breast imaging and procedures. It s a locum assignment designed to maintain coverage while the current radiologist takes an extended leave. Dates / Schedule Start: AugustDuration: 9 12 monthsWork Pattern: Monday Friday, 2 weeks per monthHours: 8:00 AM 4:00 PMCall: None Job Details / Responsibilities Interpret imaging studies across multiple modalities (CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, PET).Perform and read diagnostic mammograms and breast biopsies (core focus).Review imaging from outpatient clinic, with some additional reads from emergency and inpatient cases.Option to refer complex or uncomfortable cases to a teleradiology group.Work within Cerner EMR system.Collaborate with radiology technologists, ultrasound techs, and support staff.Expected monthly volume includes: 225 screening mammograms 30 diagnostic mammograms 13 procedures (biopsies, wire localization, etc.) Required Skills & Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (certification expected if eligible).Active California medical license (required).Proficiency in:Diagnostic mammography interpretationBreast biopsy proceduresPET imaging (preferred) and general radiology modalitiesBLS/ACLS and DEA certification (required for credentialing).Clean malpractice history (highly preferred).NPDB self-query report (dated within 30 days, required).Ability to work independently in an outpatient setting with strong clinical judgment.
