Learn more about usJob Location: Local to Columbus, IN area and capable to travel into building depending on project needs, approximately 2-3 days in the office weekly.What you will be doing:This role supports two primary functions, the Catalyst, Performance and Integration (CPI) team, and the Aftertreatment Integration (ATI) team. Both functions support on and off-highway after-treatment systems for engines ranging in size from 2.8L to 95L.The Catalyst, Performance and Integration (CPI) team requires support in developing test plans, executing test plans, data analysis, data quality checks, generating technical reports on testing performed to support the following objectives:Catalyst Portfolio StrategyPerformance boundary mappingBase calibration developmentProduct & process release for C/P/IThe Aftertreatment Integration (ATI) group requires support in developing emissions after-treatment software features and diagnostic calibrations for on and off-highway programs. Objectives include calibration development suThe engineer will be responsible for completing feature and diagnostic reviews, following the corporate calibration process. Other objectives include:Calibration Development SupportCreate software feature and diagnostic calibrations for on and off-highway programs following the Corporate calibration process.Create supporting documentation for software feature and diagnostic changesPerform bench testing on feature and diagnostic calibrations to validate functionalityPresent feature and diagnostic reviews in calibration integration forums and OBD forumsInvestigate software and integration issues observed in the test cell and/or field and address any FIRGs associated with these features and diagnostics.Field Performance Analysis SupportReview field data using FPA console and generate weekly/bi-weekly reports of EAS behavior.Early production and production-phase SCR over-temperature diagnostics reviews and dew point feature subject to availability of field test data.Early production and production -phase DOC, DPF, SCR over-temperature, PM sensor diagnostic reviews and NOx sensor diagnostic & feature reviewsBack up relevant information with shared access for stakeholders, CTR's for applicable DVP&R updates, deliverables tracking on Integrity (upload)What you'll need to be successful:College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.Mechanical Engineering degree HIGHLY preferredA mechanical/chemical engineering background with a masters of science or PhD is preferred2 or more years of hands-on experienceAbility to analyze/interpret large sets of data is requiredMATLAB Plotting and analysis is required.MS office suit solid knowledge is required.Calibration of engine or aftertreatment features/monitorsEngine or aftertreatment performanceHumble, teachable, and who solve their own problemsEffective and collaborative team playerGood communicator – written and verbalGreat collaboratorExperience working in the automotive/truck industry and knowledge of aftertreatment systems is considered ideal.What you'll get:Full benefits: medical, dental, vision401K with a match and immediate vestingShort-term & Long-term disability, life insurance and other optional benefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee DiscountsOngoing professional development opportunities including Technical Training and Leadership DevelopmentThe opportunity to work on industry leading projectsClick the Easy Apply button to learn more.#LI-NC1
