If you are ready to join a company that truly cares about its employees, our members, and our community then you have come to the right place!Summary of Role:The Facilities Technician (FT) performs both scheduled building maintenance, emergency repairs and after-hours response when directed.Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:Scheduled MaintenancePerform general building maintenance when directedPerform basic carpentry, wall finishing and painting, door hinge and lock repairsService teller line drawers, cabinets, and associated teller line locks and may be expected to make minor banking equipment repairs when trained and proficientComplete work orders daily; noting status if not completed and description of resolution as completedAssist vendors during normal and after-hours access for department systems to include UPS/Switchgear/Generators/Electrical panels/HVAC/FM200, Fire suppression systemsPerform minor asphalt, building façade, concrete, electrical, HVAC, lighting replacement, plumbing, and roof repairs at both administrative and branch locations across New York StateEmergency ResponseRespond (when on-call) to building emergencies when received, provide leadership with a brief analysis to aide in decisioning to return to service as soon as possible damaged itemsMake minor temporary repairs, provide afterhours access when directed and serve as Director representative when required for emergency responseOther DutiesSupport department requirements such as afterhours events on the campusAssume Facilities Operations Coordinator responsibilities when directedSupport company operations, ensure supervisors are informed of task statusesPerform other duties as assigned by Directorate leadershipMinimum Job Qualifications:High school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED)Minimum of Three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust possess a valid driver's license with no violationsAbility to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, sketches, and layoutsWorking knowledge of techniques, materials, tools, and equipment used to perform job dutiesSpecial Requirements:Workplace/physical demands/work environmentEmployee will adhere to OSHA workplace safety standardsEmployee may at times be directed to work additional hours when required to complete major projectsRequired to travel between administrative buildings, branches, and or various vendor locations dailyEmployee may be required to fill-in for other team members during holiday schedules or staffing challengesIn performance of daily duties, employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear without limitations, operate machinery, and power toolsEmployee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch without limitationsEmployee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 poundsThis job can be noisy at times, and you may be working in proximity with others (both inside and outside of the organization)In the normal course of the day, employee may be exposed to above or below temperatures when in conduct of shipping and receiving and or warehousing operationsStarting Compensation: $20.68 - $24.82/hr., plus a competitive benefits packageBilingual individuals who are fluent in a second language in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply.We are an equal opportunity employer.
