Fabrication Branch Manager

As a Fabrication Branch Manager reporting to Senior Project Manager at our SW Fabrication location, this individual oversees the daily operations, personnel, and overall performance of the fabrication branch. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient workload management, operational excellence, and sustained profitability of the fabrication profit center. In addition, this individual leads the branch team while supporting Project Managers by ensuring proper resource allocation, workflow efficiency, and timely order fulfillment. Responsibilities: Duties: Manages, oversees, and supports all aspects of the fabrication branch profit center (operations, personnel, workflow, administrative coordination); Ensures efficient daily receiving, storage, material handling, fabrication, shipping, and delivery operations; Develops forecasts, operational objectives, and capacity plans to ensure sustainable branch performance; Evaluates branch productivity and identifies operational improvements through data-driven analysis; Oversees and reviews employee timesheets via the Company's time keeping system to ensure missed punches, overtime and time off requests are addressed and managed; Provides prompt and regular communication regarding all vital branch-specific information to Fabrication Project Manager as needed or requested; Participate in sales and marketing events; Maintains awareness of company pricing, service opportunities and sales guidelines. Directly supervises fab shop personnel; Conducts hiring, training, performance evaluations, and corrective actions as necessary; Develops team skill sets to improve morale, efficiency, quality, and safety within the branch; Maintains staffing levels appropriate to workload and growth initiatives; Fosters a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement; Develops and maintain new and existing product and inventory knowledge by participating in all necessary training, including independent study of product features and benefits; Participates in educational opportunities, including those offered by vendors or other resources; Acts and works according to Company culture and as an ambassador to the Company's brand, services and values; Performs other duties as assigned by the Fabrication Project Manager. Oversees branch workload distribution to ensure realistic scheduling and on-time completion; Coordinates with Fabrication Project Managers to align production capacity with project timelines; Monitors Monday.com workflows to ensure resource balance across active projects; Identifies bottlenecks and implements process improvements. Ensures compliance with Acme's policies and procedures; safety standards and enforces best practices in fabrication operations; Oversees inventory accuracy and material control; Works with purchasing and vendors to maintain appropriate project-based stocking levels. Supports long-term branch expansion planning; Assists in developing fabrication capabilities and service offerings; Collaborates with leadership on capital investments (equipment, staffing, systems); Drives operational scalability to support multiple concurrent large-scale projects.Skills: Technical Qualifications/ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred;Minimum 5 years of experience in construction supply, fabrication, or industrial distribution;Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or operational leadership experience;Strong understanding of fabrication processes and material flow;Proficiency in Monday.com workflow management;Eclipse software experience preferred;Strong analytical and capacity planning skills;Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team-building ability.Traits: Behavior & Competencies: ResultsCommunication: Has a friendly and positive attitude when interacting with direct reports, peers, customers, and vendors.
