Job Title: Sr/Lead Mainframe DeveloperLocation: Berkeley Heights, NJ /Alpharetta, GADuration: 12+ months with strong possibilities of extension/conversion to full-timeKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and related technologiesWork on batch and online systems within CICS environmentsAnalyze business requirements and translate them into technical specificationsPerform coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of mainframe solutionsSupport production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely resolutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, business analysts, and infrastructure teamsOptimize application performance and ensure system reliability and scalabilityParticipate in system enhancements, upgrades, and modernization initiativesMaintain documentation for code, processes, and system architectureRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2Hands-on experience with CICS and batch processingGood understanding of mainframe utilities and tools (File-AID, Abend-AID, etc.)Experience in production support and incident managementKnowledge of SDLC methodologies, preferably AgileStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume transaction environment
