Delivery Supervisor

Location: Raleigh, NCJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and proactive Delivery Supervisor to lead daily delivery operations in our Raleigh, NC area location. The ideal candidate will ensure on-time, accurate, and damage-free shipments while managing and developing a team of delivery associates. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and customer service excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily delivery operations to ensure on-time, accurate, and damage-free shipments.Assign and supervise work for delivery associates; manage workflow, productivity, and accountability.Verify all deliveries are properly checked for accuracy, staged for delivery, and loaded the night before delivery.Maintain high customer service standards by resolving delivery issues, delays, and discrepancies.Communicate daily priorities, risks, and performance results to the leadership team.Train, coach, and reinforce safe work practices and company procedures.Enforce safety standards, equipment inspections, and housekeeping expectations.Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce errors.Maintain delivery records and system updates accurately and timely.Support peak volume planning, special projects, and operational needs, as assigned.Maintain proper time keeping practices for your team.Ensure all fulfillments are completed no more than 24 hours after fulfillment.Upload all delivery pictures and records within 24 hours of delivery.Uphold and enforce all company policies and procedures.Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with drivers, warehouse staff, and leadership.Ensure safe, efficient, and on-time delivery of all customer orders.Coordinate daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and control costs.Maintain accurate shipping documentation and ensure proper loading and securement of freight.Monitor and improve delivery accuracy and damage prevention.Oversee organization and flow of the outbound and staging areas.Train, coach, and develop drivers and support staff.Ensure compliance with DOT, safety, and company standards.Assist with the development of KPIs for delivery performance, accuracy, and on-time metrics.Develop and maintain a documented training process for new hires in delivery.Ensure all team members are properly trained on equipment, scanners, and delivery procedures.Maintain proper communication with peers and other departments.QualificationsProven experience in delivery supervision or a related logistics role.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent organizational and communication abilities.Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.Ability to analyze and improve delivery processes and performance metrics.Proficient with delivery systems, equipment, and technology.Commitment to maintaining high customer service standards.```
