LabWare LIMS Systems Engineer

This role is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day stability, performance, and operation of the LabWare LIMS platform supporting laboratory operations.The role works closely with Laboratory Operations, Quality, Customer Experience, Data Governance, Analytics, and IT teams to ensure operational readiness, documentation, and incident response. Continuous improvement is expected through workflow automation, instrument integrations, sequencing integrations, and adherence to best practices in secure coding, data integrity, and release management.Duties and Responsibilities :Maintain stability and daily operation of the LabWare LIMS platformEnsure laboratory orders process successfully and remove system impediments impacting workflowsMonitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issuesManage code quality, change control, and system upgradesServe as the subject matter expert on process flows, code, and business logic within the LIMS systemCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and map laboratory workflowsTranslate business needs into technical specifications and project plansOptimize digital laboratory workflows and support system enhancementsSupport integrations with laboratory instruments, sequencing platforms, ERP systems, and web technologiesSkills and Qualifications :Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Biological Sciences, or a related field requiredMinimum 5+ years of experience supporting or developing LabWare LIMS systemsAdvanced experience configuring and customizing LabWare LIMSExperience with LIMS APIs and integrationsStrong understanding of laboratory workflow digitizationProgramming skills including Python, Java, JavaScript (Node/React), and SQLExperience integrating LIMS with lab sequencers, ERP systems, CRM platforms, and web technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML)Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO and GLPStrong business analysis and project management capabilitiesAbility to translate business requirements into technical solutionsExperience with testing frameworks, code quality tools, and automation practicesExperience in Animal Health, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Clinical Laboratory environments preferredCertifications such as CBAP or PMP are a plusWage Range :The rate for this position is between $43.00 - $53.00 per hour , unless local minimum wage is higher.
