Aircraft Mechanic IIIOLH Technical Services, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III. Position responsibilities include maintaining repairs and modifications of aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of complex to extreme difficulty. The role also involves maintaining and repairing aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. Technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems is required to determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment condition and operation. Professional technical expertise is needed to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturers' manuals.Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair, and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems. Aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, rollers, grinders, drills, pneumatic squeezers, rivet guns, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. are utilized. Experience in reading and interpreting aviation drawings and manuals is required.Position requirements include a minimum of 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in providing technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers is necessary. Excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule are required. Experience in providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts specifically those related to sheet metal repairs and fabrication of sheet metal parts is required. The ability to measure and evaluate structural aircraft damage is required. Knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to layout, fabricate, repair, and assemble sheet metal are required.
