Job Title: Vice President of Accounting & FinanceLocation: Norwalk, CAEmployment Type: Salaried Full-time directIndustry: AerospaceCompensation: $230K - $250KWork Schedule: M-FAbout the Opportunity:Our aerospace client is seeking a results-driven Vice President - Accounting & Finance to lead the financial team across our global organization. The VP will be a member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing financial reporting, planning, and risk management. This role requires both high-level strategic thinking and hands-on financial management experience in a dynamic and growing environment.What You'll Do: Strategic Financial LeadershipExemplify, retain, and communicate 'up to date' ASC, GAAP, IFRS, and related accounting pronouncements in accurate financial reporting for domestic and international business units and affiliated entities.Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.Serve as a strategic advisor to the COO on financial planning and business operations.Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive leadership team.Accounting, Reporting, and Risk ManagementEnsure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with ASC, GAAP, and IFRS pronouncements to ensure meeting regulatory reporting standards.Oversee statutory audit requirements with international operations.Oversee cost accounting and related functions.Maintain a strong internal control environment.Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.Oversee tax compliance and reporting requirements.Tax and Compliance.Have a knowledge and understanding of tax compliance and reporting requirements for an international company.Financial Planning & AnalysisProvide timely and accurate financial analysis, performance metrics, and business insights.Monitor financial performance and proactively recommend corrective actions.Supporting M&A opportunities, as may be required, include due diligence and analysis.Cash Flow & Treasury ManagementManage cash flow and banking relationships and provide input to ownership on investment strategies.Oversee financing, capital structure, and risk management initiatives.Operational EfficiencyEvaluate and optimize financial systems, tools, and processes for scalability and efficiency.Partner with department heads to drive financial discipline across the organization.Lead commercial insurance and risk management. Understanding of insurance requirements for a multi-entity international organization.Team LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.What You'll Bring (Requirements):Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.Min 8 years of progressive financial leadership experience with significant up-to-date knowledge in ASC and GAAP, along with a strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, business operations, and experience at the VP level.Min 3 years of recent international operations responsibility.Min 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.Min 5 years of experience with financial software and systems (e.g., ERP, Excel, BI tools, Tableau)What Set's You Apart (Preferred):MBA or Master's DegreeCPA License preferred3 years of prior experience as a Vice President of a sizable/complex organization.Scaling manufacturing operations or transitioning through growth phases.Familiarity with international operations, trade compliance, or multi-entity reporting.Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.Prior experience with Epicor ERP software.
