Machine Operator - Molding

Summary of Job Function: The Molding Operator plays a key role in producing high-quality molded products while helping drive continuous improvement on the production floor. This position goes beyond machine operation since you’ll contribute to optimizing processes, developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and improving documentation to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, hands-on professional who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and taking ownership of their work in a collaborative manufacturing environment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and monitor molding equipment to ensure efficient and consistent production. Prepare molds for epoxy filling, including degassing and processing to meet quality standards. Disassemble molds and inspect finished components to ensure product quality prior to final processing. Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for molding processes. Create and improve process documentation to support training, consistency, and continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate weekly production activities to meet customer demand and inventory targets. Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of epoxy and related materials. Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment. Collaborate with team members and leadership to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains. Required Skills/Abilities: Hands-on mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills. Experience with equipment setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, instructions, and process documentation. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality. Interest or experience in process improvement, documentation, or SOP development is highly valued. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Education/Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems. 1–3 years of molding or similar manufacturing experience preferred (training provided for the right candidate). Experience contributing to or creating process documentation or SOPs is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed. Why Join Us?
