This position is being added to support increased student enrollment and program growth, resulting in a three-teacher department serving grades 6 12. The selected candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality agricultural instruction, supporting FFA activities, and helping build a strong, community-connected program that prepares students for careers in agriculture and related fields. Key ResponsibilitiesTeach a range of agriculture courses for grades 6 12 Collaborate with the existing agriculture staff to align curriculum and share program responsibilities Supervise and support the local FFA chapter, including events, competitions, and leadership development Guide students in Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs Incorporate hands-on, experiential, and project-based learning opportunities Maintain classroom, laboratory, and agricultural facilities (e.g., greenhouse, shop, land labs) Build partnerships with local agricultural businesses, organizations, and community stakeholders All other duties as assigned QualificationsValid Indiana teaching license in Agricultural Education (or ability to obtain) Willingness to teach across middle and high school grade levels (6 12) Strong knowledge of agricultural content areas and industry trends Experience with or willingness to advise FFA and supervise SAE programs Effective communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
