Senior Software Engineer - Algorithms Software (Onsite)

Responsibilities Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance required on day 1 Work alongside scientists (physicists, mathematicians, signal processing experts, etc.) to understand algorithm goals and limitations Optimize software for performance, including parallel processing and leveraging GPUs and other processing accelerators Utilize expertise in mathematics and physics to achieve optimal performance Evolve algorithms originating in Python and MATLAB into optimized C, C++, and CUDA code Model and test new algorithms in high-performance computing (HPC) environments Scale processing implementations to run extensive tests and simulations using hundreds to thousands of processing cores Architect, design, implement, test, and debug integrated real-time software within heterogeneous systems Work within a cross-discipline team to define, refine, and improve product concept, implementation, testability, and guaranteed, measurable quality Contribute to proposals as well as preliminary and critical design reviews Opportunity to travel for customer collaboration This job is onsite in Plano, TX; applicants must be in the area or willing to relocate to it Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other STEM related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C, C++ or closely related software languages. Development experience on Linux-based systems. Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
