Remote Architect (Windsor)
In this position, you will be based out of our Winnipeg offices with remote/hybrid work options permitted.
Major Responsibilities Strong, hands‑on technical knowledge
Document review and inter‑disciplinary coordination
Develop or assist in the development of studies, programs, concepts, preliminary and final plans and specifications for projects of varying type and scale
Prepare, review and approve drawing, specification and other documentation as required. These will range from design presentation documents to technical documents for building permit, tender and construction
Ensure designs are developed in compliance with client program of requirements and in compliance with local codes, standards and applicable regulations
Ensure designs are developed in accordance with AECOM processes, design and quality standards
Lead project coordination with multi‑disciplinary teams, both internal to AECOM and external
Interface with clients, authorities and other project participants as needed to achieve a successful project
Work with AECOM design offices across the country, including participation in project teams and overall development of the design and technical quality of AECOM projects
Knowledge of building systems and coordination of building systems design
Checks own work and the work of others
Knowledge and familiarity with building codes
Team player with the ability to work within a team environment
Experience in field review and contract administration
Qualifications University Degree in Architecture
Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Architect with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA)
