CNC Setup Technician - $22-$30/hr, Temp-to-Hire (13081)

Adecco is recruiting for a CNCMachine Shop Setup Technician / Machinist for a client in Auburn, NY. This position is temp-to-hire, paying $22 to $30/hour, depending on experience, and offers the opportunity to join a small, growing manufacturing team where hands-on skills and attention to detail truly matter.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with precision equipment, preparing machines for success, and playing a key role in keeping production running smoothly.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up CNC and/or manual machines per work orders, blueprints, and setup sheetsInstall, align, and adjust tooling, fixtures, jigs, and workholding devicesLoad and verify CNC programs and perform test runs to ensure accuracyInspect first-piece parts using precision measuring tools to confirm specificationsMake offsets and setup adjustments to maintain quality and tolerancesTroubleshoot setup-related issues and collaborate with machinists and supervisorsEnsure machines are calibrated, cleaned, and production-readyOperate machinery as needed to support production goalsFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work areaDocument setup changes, tooling usage, and process improvementsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred)2+ years of machine shop setup experience or similar roleAbility to read and interpret blueprints and setup documentationProficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materialsMechanical aptitude with solid problem-solving skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsPreferred QualificationsCNC setup experience (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines)Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similarExperience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environmentWork EnvironmentManufacturing / machine shop settingExposure to moving machinery and metal componentsPPE required as applicablePay Details: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
