Technical Designer - Boys/ Menswear Brand

Our client, a fashion brand, is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team on a contract basis in their New York office.Responsibilities:Execute the technical design process from development to final fit.Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications.Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications.Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections.Create CAD flats for tech packs.Direct Assistant/ Associate Technical Designers.Lead fittings and oversee fit comments.Partner closely with the design team.Requirements:4-5+ years of working experience in Technical DesignExtensive knowledge of garment constructionExamples of tech packs or CAD flatsTechnical fluency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel and PLM systems.Strong written & verbal communication skillsCapable of maintaining organization while handling multiple projects & prioritiesStrong time management & problem-solving skillsPlease submit your resume for consideration.You can use www.workgrades.com to collect and manage your references for free and share them with us or anyone else you choose.
