Application Engineer (Commercial Support)

For our client, we are seeking a Application Engineer (commercial Support) to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a Business Services environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $104,200 – $173,700 annuallyResponsibilities Develop high-quality technical proposals from complex customer inquiries Optimize ITO processes in collaboration with Sales and Commercial teams Analyze site-specific requirements to recommend optimal service solutions and upgrades Coordinate with Engineering, Sourcing, and Project Management regarding cost and resource validation Conduct early-stage risk assessments to identify design or service challenges Maintain and optimize technical documentation and configuration tools Identify and create strategic spare parts for project supply using SAPQualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) 3-5+ years of experience in Application Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Field Service operations Up to 25% travel based on business needs Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and performance specifications for high-voltage assets Excellent communication skills for articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Demonstrated experience in substation projects, understanding Electrical Balance of Plant (eBOP) equipment Strong understanding of the Power Generation/Services industry and ITO/OTR workflowsBenefits Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage Access to a 24/7 nurse-based resource and Health Coach Employee Assistance Program for confidential counseling services Retirement Savings Plan with company matching contributions Tuition assistance and adoption assistance programs Paid parental leave and disability benefits 12 paid holidays and permissive time offOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
