Our team delivers a variety of resources our clients need in one firm, including advisory, licensing, government relations, and training services.The Licensing TeamFS Vector’s Licensing team offers unparalleled experience and expertise combined with a proprietary licensing technology platform to assist companies with the acquisition and maintenance of state licenses. This includes traditional fiat and cryptocurrency/virtual currency-related licensing, including licenses for money transmitters, lending, collections, brokering, and servicing. Core services include: license acquisition and maintenance; state bank and trust charters; compliance build and maturation; risk assessments; and product development.The RoleAs a Fall associate, you will support the team in conducting research, surveying state licensing regimes, assisting in ongoing reporting requirements, mapping regulatory deadlines, and reviewing internal compliance policies - all pivotal to our clients' business goals and aiding in client management. Research typically includes monitoring multiple news sources, stakeholder mapping, and delving into specific topics relevant to client needs. Your role will also encompass aiding in various client-related tasks and organizational duties. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about licensing strategy in the financial services sector, the current political and regulatory environments, and get hands-on experience with industry experts while assisting with real-world licensing applications/maintenance, compliance reviews, and regulatory research projects.We seek candidates with a keen interest in licensing (including money transmission, collections, brokering, and lending), regulation of financial services, and emerging technology companies. Ideal candidates are those eager to gain experience at the convergence of business, technology, and finance, characterized by creativity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity. Successful applicants will demonstrate leadership, problem-solving, creativity, and a deep interest in financial technology companies, coupled with the ability to quickly synthesize complex information into clear, precise documents.Interns are an integral part of the Licensing team and provide significant support to the work we do. The Fall Associate internship will run from September 8, 2025, to December 19, 2025. While we can be flexible with start and end dates, we are seeking individuals who are able to commit to a 12-week internship. The expected work schedule is Monday to Friday, with an anticipated workload of 20 hours per week, a commitment to high-quality deliverables, and productive communication in today’s environment.
