The Department of Family Medicine is in search of an Assistant Professor of Clinical to serve as primary care physician faculty for our practice in Florence, Kentucky (68 Cavalier Blvd 41042). Essential Functions Provide direct patient care in a primary care office and teach UC medical students through office-based precepting in a clinical setting. Diagnose cytology, cytopathology, clinical chemistry, immunology, flow cytometry, and molecular biology. Write reports summarizing analyses, results, and conclusions. Identify the etiology, pathogenesis, morphological change, and clinical significance of diseases, analyze and interpret results from tests. Document findings, plans, and actions taken according to departmental guidelines and standards. Maintain a working knowledge of relevant medical/legal department policies. Attend and participate in staff, committee, department, and other administrative meetings, as well as participate in the department's continuous quality improvement efforts. Perform other related duties as assigned, to include responding to patient portal messages and calls and inquiries from billing and compliance, reviewing test results and following up with patients, and collaborating with other care team members for treatment plans. Minimum Requirements Medical Degree (MD or DO). Licensure by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Medical Board. Completion of three-year residency program in Family Medicine. Active DEA license.
