Lead Electrical Engineer
At Jacobs, we strive for excellence, always looking to innovate and elevate our work. We apply our expertise to create solutions that make a difference as we focus on the future with optimism.
We are currently in search of a Lead Electrical Engineer to take on a technical leadership role in designing and overseeing highly advanced industrial facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex semiconductor manufacturing projects and other state‑of‑the‑art facilities. While the ideal candidate will be based in Tempe, Arizona, we encourage applicants from across the U.S.
In this pivotal role, you will leverage your specialized knowledge to tackle complex challenges and deliver innovative engineering solutions. Your responsibilities will include overseeing design work, leading project teams, and conducting quality reviews of design packages, all while directly contributing to the most challenging aspects of the design process.
Your tasks will involve: engineering and design oversight for facility power distribution systems, grounding, and lighting, as well as occasional retrofitting of existing systems. You will develop technical specifications and construction documents, ensuring consistent alignment between drawings and specifications, and serve as the Electrical discipline lead or Quality Control reviewer. Additionally, you will engage directly with clients, owners, and contractors, supporting on‑site construction activities and participating in proposals to address solutions to potential issues.
This position requires a broad perspective to recommend best practices, refine processes, and lead functional teams. You will work independently, requiring guidance only on complex issues, and serve as a trusted resource for quality and innovative thinking. If you’re ready to take charge of high‑impact projects and shape the future of electrical engineering design, we want you on our team.
Bring your curiosity, ability to multi‑task, and exceptional organizational skills, and we will help you grow while making significant impacts together.
