Data ArchitectRemoteFull TimeSeeking a skilled Data Architect to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure and high-performance data systems that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational processes. This role will define data standards, ensure data quality, and align data architecture with organizational goals and assist with database design, optimization, and governance, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement data architecture frameworks, including data models, data lakes, and data warehouses.Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to define data requirements.Establish data governance standards, including data quality, security, and compliance.Optimize data pipelines and storage solutions for performance and scalability.Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies for data management.Ensure integration of data across multiple systems and platforms.Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and ETL processes to improve efficiency and reduce latencyDevelop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans to ensure data availabilityMonitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive optimization strategiesProvide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and analysts. Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.Strong expertise in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, cloud-based systems).Knowledge of Postgres, PGVector, Chroma DB etc.Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques.Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and tools.Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).Knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance standards.Certification in cloud or data architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
